The training was very thorough, and they give trained providers access to continuing education anytime with their provider APP (which means as a provider I can always stay up to date on the most current information). The device features a long-lasting rechargeable battery-operated system (which for me is amazing to have no cord attached) that has a protected sleeve and a special safety locking mechanism so the disposable sterile tip can only be used once. The tip oscillates extremely fast at around 90 times per second straight up and down without tearing through the skin like the rollers do which creates 98,000 channels per minute making this treatment very fast compared to other devices.

What to Expect During a SkinPen Treatment at Concierge Care Naples
I always ensure that each client’s SkinPen experience is comfortable, safe, and tailored to their specific needs. Here’s what a typical session with me looks like:
- Personalized Consultation
- Before we start, I take the time to assess your skin, discuss your concerns, and determine if the SkinPen is the right treatment for you. Whether you’re looking to fade old acne scars or smooth fine lines, I personalize each session to meet your unique goals.
- Preparing the Skin and Scalp
- To ensure the most comfortable experience, I begin by applying a topical numbing cream. This minimizes any discomfort during the microneedling process. Once you are numb, we remove the numbing cream very thoroughly with a surgical cleanser.
- Microneedling with the SkinPen
- Once your skin is prepped, I gently glide the SkinPen across the treatment area. The tiny micro-channels created by the pen trigger the body’s natural healing response, prompting it to produce new collagen and elastin. The procedure itself takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on the area being treated. The vibration of the SkinPen helps to distract from discomfort. - Post-Treatment Care & Recovery
- Immediately after your treatment, you might notice some redness and slight swelling, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually fades within 24-72 hours. I provide you with a customized aftercare plan, including the SkinFuse product to soothe and protect your skin and speed up recovery.
Over the next few weeks, your skin will gradually improve, becoming smoother, firmer, and more radiant. While some clients see results after just one session, I typically recommend a series of 3-6 treatments spaced about a month apart for optimal skin transformation.
